Taller: “ACTIVITIES FOR TEACHING LISTENING AND SPEAKING SKILLS”

Miércoles 17 de octubre, 10:30 – 12:00 hs., Dirección General de Gestión Estatal, Ministerio de Educación, C.A.B.A., Esmeralda 55, Salón oval 3º piso, C.A.B.A.
Lunes 22 de octubre, 18:00 – 20:00 hs. CECIE 11 D.E. 11, Lafuente 559, barrio: Flores, C.A.B.A.

“Teaching listening skills is one of the most difficult tasks for any ESL/EFL teacher. This is because successful listening skills are acquired over time and with lots of practice. Speaking a language involves accuracy, using all the components correctly. Both types of practice are equally important, although some traditional approaches can concentrate rather too much on accuracy tasks which result in students speaking like a grammar book. This workshop will focus on providing teachers with suggestions and activities to help their students.”

Taller: “USING DVD AND VIDEO IN THE EFL CLASSROOM”

Jueves 18 de octubre, 13 a 14.30 hs., Escuela Normal Superior N° 1 en Lenguas Vivas “Pte Roque Saenz Peña”, Av. Córdoba 1951, Salón Máxima Lupo, Planta Baja, CABA

“Audio Visual activities are memorable, relaxing, inexhaustible, fun and change the mood of the class.  Students learn vocabulary, pronunciation, intonation, rhythm and stress through hearing English. They can also study grammar, functions, and learn about culture.  Movies and Sitcoms allow students to make connections to people, places and events in their lives as a springboard for conversation and practicing all 4 skills.  They allow students to socialize with each other, they can have fun learning and they will retain information better and learn about American Culture.”

Taller: “MAKING READING COMMUNICATIVE”

Viernes 19 de octubre, 10:30 – 12:00 hs. Dirección General de Planeamiento Educativo, Ministerio de Educación, C.A.B.A. Esmeralda 55, SUM Piso 10°, C.A.B.A.
“Reading is an important part of language learning. Reading can become a productive skill rather than a passive activity. This workshop focuses on making reading interesting, fun and communicative.”
